For Game Submissions
Heroic Journey Publishing is currently looking for our next RPG or Card Game. Please read the following submission guidelines carefully before you submit your proposal.
1. Fundamentals: HJP is looking for people a creative flair with a strong grasp of their mechanics and the ability to express the rules effectively to players. We are also looking for unique and fun games near to/completely finished. So around 90% to 100% ready to go.
2. Professionalism: We are looking for designers who can follow directions, meet deadlines, and are willing to work with us. SO please make sure any proposal is as perfect as you can. This doesn’t ensure these qualities, but anything thrown together and disorganized will probably be seen as someone not ready for publication.
3. You should have something which has been playtested and tried. While we are hear to help you with the publishing we are also working on our own designs. We will help with areas that might need some work, but again we are here to assist you in publishing not game design.
4. Ok then what should I DO? First please email a one to two page submission proposal to heroicjourney@gmail.com in a .doc, .rtf or .pdf format. This should explain your game to us as accurately and specifically as you can. In this include the following information. Base Mechanic, Background of the Setting, if an RPG. (Generic Fantasy is not a setting). Current Word Count of your finished product, and what help you would want from us. If all you want is art/layout work or if you want to be included in the HJP line of products.
5. When submitting your manuscript we do not mind simple formatting, bold headers, etc., but please follow these simple guidelines. First do not submit anything that is in multiple columns. Single column is the only kind of manuscript we accept. Second if it does not pass a spell check then it will be returned. We understand unique and fictionalized words will be caught but spelling errors like, teh, should be fixed prior to submitting.
For Novel Submissions
We currently are not taking open SUbmissions for Novels at this time. Thank you and check back for submission guidelines when we open call again.
Artist Submissions
We are currently only accepting commissioned artwork check back for open calls here and at RPG.net

As a member of WN, I thought I’d peruse your site. I couldn;t find your submission guidelines for novels. I know through the excitement of your expansion, you may have overlooked this. I can tell you if the members of WN discover this, they may bash you. I’m one of the kinder members. Do you have novel guidelines that you can send?
