ATTENTION ALL STORYTELLERS - HEROIC JOURNEY PUBLISHING WANTS YOUR STORIES

February 4, 2009 St. Paul, MN

Do you have a story the world needs to hear?  Are you a writer with a novel, but still in search for a publisher?  If so, Heroic Journey Publishing is looking for you!

For the past several months, Heroic Journey Publishing has been accepting role playing game submissions.  The goal: take games from “almost done” to “published game.”  Now, Heroic Journey is pleased to announce that it is ready to publish novel-length books and is looking for a few good novels.

Any authors who have finished manuscripts, but do not yet have a publisher, may submit to Heroic Journey Publishing by emailing hjpsubmissions@gmail.com.  Submissions must be the first three chapters of a finished novel in single column Microsoft Word, RTF, or TXT format.  Submissions may be done with or without an agent, though agent submissions are preferred.

Submissions will be judged on the quality of the work and how close the book is to being publication-ready.  Any genres will be considered, though submissions may be turned down if the material is deemed too violent, too pornographic, or if it glorifies illegal activities. The full length manuscript may be requested if a submission is deemed publishable.

If a manuscript is selected for publication, Heroic Journey Publishing will recommend an editor for the novel, lay it out, and provide the front and back cover art and wording.  The book can also be placed in distribution and will be available for purchase on Amazon.com and BN.com.  Contract terms will be favorable to the author.

This is not a contest and there is no fee to enter.  The author retains all rights to the manuscript until a contract is signed.  If a manuscript is submitted and the author chooses not to publish their book with Heroic Journey Publishing, the manuscript will not be used further by Heroic Journey Publishing.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact Mark Reed at Heroic Journey Publishing at hjpsubmissions@gmail.com.

Faster than a bounty fleeing Pluto, Heroic Journey Publishing is proud to release Bounty Head Bebop: Jacked Up! the first supplement for Bounty Head Bebop The Role Playing Game. Bounty Head Bebop: Jacked Up! lets the good guys be better and the bad guys even more crooked with new rules for cybernetics and cyber implants.

Players and game masters alike will have lots of new edges and flaws when building their characters and NPCs and lots of new powers to make catching bounties easier.

Speaking through his new cyber-loudspeaker, Heroic Journey founder Mark Reed expressed his excitement over Bounty Head Bebop: Jacked Up! “Jacked UP is our first supplement to Bounty Head Bebop and I am happy to see this continuation of the series, plus it adds really cool cybernetic rock n’roll to an already jam session of greatness.”

Also, part of Heroic Journey Publishing’s weapon of choice when it comes to games has been putting together attractively laid out books with brilliant artwork. Though only a 9-page PDF, Bounty Head Bebop: Jacked Up! continues this trend with a stunning cover and good art throughout.

HEROIC JOURNEY PUBLICATIONS LAUNCHED TO HELP DESIGNERS PRODUCE ROLE PLAYING GAMES

October 23, 2008 St. Paul, MN

Gaming industry veterans Mark Reed and Zac Ashmore are proud to announce the launch of their joint role playing publishing venture: Heroic Journey Publishing.  Heroic Journey Publishing’s mission is to help role playing game designers realize their dreams by providing services which take a role playing game from manuscript to finished product.

These services include editing a game manuscript, illustrating it, laying the game out, marketing the role playing game, and getting it into well-known distribution channels.  This assistance will come from Reed, Ashmore, and their team of skilled industry professionals.  Currently, Heroic Journey Publishing is focused specifically on digital publishing.  This means that Heroic Journey Publishing’s catalog will be released as Print on Demand (POD) books and PDFs.

“I am excited that Heroic Journey Publishing is here. I have wanted to contribute to the community and provide a service which I feel is sorely needed. There are a lot of talented game designers out there and they shouldn’t have to learn how to publish, just to get a quality book out there” stated Reed.

Heroic Journey Publishing’s first title, Bounty Head Bebop, is slated for release in time for the holidays.
