FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Heroic Journey Publishing to Publish/Distribute Mecha
March 15, 2010
St. Paul, MN Heroic Journey Publishing is proud to announce that it has completed an agreement to publish Mecha, an exciting new anime Mecha-style role playing game designed by Chris Perrin. Originally, this property was to be published by Red Moon Medicine Show whose founder, Clint Krause, is credited with playtesting the game and helping to develop the setting entitled “Steel Gunner: Destiny Tomorrow,” the setting used in it’s Quickstart guide. The agreement includes the sale of existing intellectual property from Red Moon to Heroic Journey.
The decision came amidst a flurry of activity on the part Red Moon Medicine Show, which currently has two games in development. One is an original action-oriented science fiction intellectual property, the other a licensed property based on a popular computer game. Because of these two works, Heroic Journey was ultimately tapped to publish Mecha so that Krause would have the time he needed to produce those games and so Mecha would be produced in time to be published during con season.
“It’s bittersweet,” said Perrin. “Clint really helped Mecha grow into what it is and I want to make sure he gets the credit he’s due, but at the same time I’m really excited to see his next games get published.”
As of today, Red Moon’s website redmoonmedicineshow.com will no longer feature Mecha art and will stop offering the Mecha Quickstart, an introductory scenario and basic set of rules for Mecha. Both of the art and the introductory game will be available on Heroic Journey’s website heroic-journey.net.
“MECHA is a great game, and I’m glad that it’s found a good home at Heroic Journey,” Krause said.
Despite the fact that both companies are working feverishly to publish new games, future collaborations are likely for the two game companies. At least one such project is already in the works.

Well all the interior art is in and I am somewhere in the vaciity of 5 chapters of the layout done and well on my way to completion. I am still waiting on the cover art, but is all goes well I am planning to have an early release at My FLGS… Things are still in early planning stages but if things continue like they are Bounty Head Bebop will hit the shelves before Christmas
Just got the last bit of art finished by Jake the other day. And I must say it is amazing. I am very pleased with his work and you will probably see more of it in future releases of BHB material…
Now we wait on the cover, I know zach is working hard on it and it will be just perfect. Layout is beginning on the book so I will keep everyone up to date. My current issue is a 2 or 3 column look. Im leaning towards 2 but three makes it a lot easier in many ways.
There is a bit of a lag in some minor write ups for the setting, this shouldnt affect, the timing as I will build in room for those pages so when its finished it will be a quick drop in and we are done.
Well thats the news as it is over here. Now that August is over my time should liten up and I will provide more news as it happens here in HJP.
